Lucien Terras Inc. will display selected groups of work periodically and without a regular schedule. For this first iteration, Jedediah Caesar presents four single panel wall works and a floor sculpture, all from 2013, that have been inspired by the Kennecott Mines. Located in Utah, Kennecott is one of the largest copper mines in the world and of precious metal used in jewelry. Caesar is known for his cast resin works that cross reference land art and urban archeology: these new pieces have a  precision and refinement that emphasize their function as painting, while the floor work, cast from the same resin block, demonstrates the chaotic and accidental nature of their compositions.
Jedediah Caesar lives and works in Los Angeles and has been exhibiting internationally since the early 2000’s. His most recent large-scale project was presented at LAXART in Los Angeles this past September. He has held exhibitions at the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, MA; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Socrates Sculpture Center in Long Island City; and the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin, amongst others. His work was featured in the 2008 Whitney Biennial and 2008 California Biennial.
